Not Many of You Know This About Me…

Not many of you know this about me, but many years ago I trained karate quite seriously. At the time, it was a meaningful part of my life: I showed up to training, I progressed and I reached a level that, in hindsight, I should have been proud of. But back then, I didn’t appreciate it at all. I treated it as something ordinary, something that didn’t matter, something that didn’t “count” as a real achievement. So.. I simply stepped away from it. And honestly, I never imagined I would return. For a long time, karate felt like a closed chapter - a part of my past that no longer fitted into who I thought I was. I didn’t see the value of what I had built, and I didn’t recognise how much strength, discipline and resilience it had already given me. But life has a quiet way of showing you the pieces of yourself you’ve left behind. It wasn’t a dramatic decision - more a gentle curiosity. A question: What if I tried again?
