Stopniowanie przymiotników po angielsku – jak to działa? Przykłady dla początkujących

 W angielskim przymiotniki możemy zmieniać, żeby powiedzieć:

  • że coś jest bardziej jakieś (np. większe, szybsze)

  • albo najbardziej jakieś (np. największe, najszybsze)

To nazywa się stopniowanie.

Są trzy stopnie:

  1. równy: big (duży)

  2. wyższy: bigger (większy)

  3. najwyższy: the biggest (największy)

Jak to zrobić? Bardzo prosto.



1. Krótkie przymiotniki (1–2 sylaby)

Do krótkich przymiotników dodajemy końcówki -er i -est.

big → bigger → the biggest
small → smaller → the smallest
fast → faster → the fastest
long → longer → the longest

Uwaga: gdy przymiotnik kończy się na jedną spółgłoskę po samogłosce, tę spółgłoskę podwajamy:

big → bigger → biggest
fat → fatter → fattest
hot → hotter → hottest

2. Długie przymiotniki (3 sylaby i więcej)

Długich przymiotników nie zmieniamy końcówkami.
Dodajemy przed nimi słowa:

  • more (bardziej)

  • the most (najbardziej)

beautiful → more beautiful → the most beautiful
interesting → more interesting → the most interesting
expensive → more expensive → the most expensive

3. Przymiotniki kończące się na -y

Gdy przymiotnik kończy się na -y, zmieniamy -y na -i i dodajemy końcówki.

happy → happier → the happiest
easy → easier → the easiest
funny → funnier → the funniest

4. Nieregularne formy (musisz zapamiętać)

good → better → the best
bad → worse → the worst
far → further → the furthest
much/many → more → the most
little → less → the least

5. Użycie “than” w porównaniach

W stopniu wyższym często dodajemy “than” (niż).

My bike is faster than yours.
This film is more interesting than the book.

6. Użycie “the” w stopniu najwyższym

W stopniu najwyższym zwykle dodajemy “the”.

She is the best student in the class.
This is the most expensive dress in the shop.

7. Porównania bez stopniowania: as…as, not as…as

Możesz też porównać bez zmiany przymiotnika.

as + przymiotnik + as → tak…jak
My bag is as big as yours.

not as + przymiotnik + as → nie tak…jak
My bag is not as big as yours.

stopień wyższy (comparative)

Ułóż zdania. Każde zdanie powinno mieć than.

  1. (my bike / fast / your bike)

  2. (this test / easy / last test)

  3. (my room / tidy / your room)

  4. (cats / independent / dogs)

  5. (this backpack / heavy / mine)

  6. (summer / hot / spring)

  7. (your idea / good / my idea)

  8. (this movie / long / the cartoon)

  9. (maths / difficult / English)

Użyj odpowiedniego stopnia przymiotnika.

  1. Film jest ciekawszy niż książka.

  2. To jest najpiękniejsze miejsce na świecie.

  3. Mój brat jest wyższy niż ja.

  4. To był najgorszy dzień w moim życiu.

  5. Mój pokój jest bardziej uporządkowany niż twój.

  6. Matematyka jest trudniejsza niż angielski.

  7. Ona jest najlepszą uczennicą w klasie.
